     WHEN CAN I JOIN ?

You can apply to join Heanor Swimming Club at anytime during the year.

Expression of interest forms are available from the reception at Wm Gregg VC Leisure Centre

Experienced swimmers will be invited for an assessment and if space allows be invited to join the club.

We operate a waiting list for young non-swimmers and young in-experienced swimmers requiring lessons.

All applications for membership are processed by our membership secretary, Ginene Mason,

who's contact details are shown below.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED ?

In short a Swim Cap and Swimwear (but not a bikini).

It is a club rule that swimming caps are worn at all times.

A T-shirt or blouse/shorts or a skirt are needed for the for the life saving sessions.

Additional items such as Fins (Long blade or Short) are not essential at first but will be needed as the members progress.

A Wetsuit and rubber shoes or suitable outdoor clothing will be required if you are attending an outdoor event.

You will be advised by our coach's when these items will be required for training.

WILL IT BE ALL SWIMMING ?

Certainly Not! ~ The club appreciates the benefits of linking swimming with life saving
and first-aid skills.

A clear aim is to 'have fun' and that extends to all our members and their parents.

We believe that the social side is as important as the sporting side.

IS THERE A CLUB COLOUR ?

'Yes' the club colours are yellow and black.

The club offers a range of swimwear at very competitive prices to members in the club colours.

Swim caps, Swimming Costumes, Swim Shorts and Sports Clothing with the club logo
and your name incorporated are all available to order.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ?

The annual affiliation fee is £20.00 and the membership fee is currently £250.00 per year

collected by 10 monthly instalments.

Membership is fixed by the Club Committee and is renewable on the 1st September each year.
